That was the year that was
It’s not often we get time to reflect of a job well done. Mainly because we believe that you’re only as good as the job you’re doing. In this game, you can’t rest on your laurels. I’ve been in the industry now for over 10 years and you learn very quickly that you can’t look back; you have to keep moving forward. As my Mum would say “You’ll never make a window cleaner if you keep standing back to look at your work.” Mad I call it.
But I’ve taken time out of my busy schedule to reflect, just for a little while, on 2007. A lot happened.
FrogBox has grown rapidly but, more importantly, it has grown at a rate that has been manageable. I was with one of my most established clients just yesterday and he mentioned, unprompted, that he still feels that he’s the only client that we have. Praise indeed. We’ve pitched well, worked exceptionally hard and have delivered results that have exceeded our clients expectations.
To me, one of the most important developments of the year was the incorporation of Different Design Generation into the FrogBox camp. This single event transformed the graphic design and digital media offer that FrogBox had. The talent on display in this department, headed by Piero Barba (Creative Director and good friend) is immeasurable and the team has gelled more efficiently that I could have ever dreamed.
More recently, the appointment of Lucy Thomas as Senior Account Manager has strengthened the account management and PR offer. This is an area in which we’ve traditionally been very strong, but Lucy’s boundless energy, creative talent and unmoving determination has given us even more impetus. I knew this would happen; we’ve worked together before, and achieved some stunning results.
And then there are our clients, who we truly adore. In 2007 we began relationships with the following companies:
The Sapphire Retail Fund: B2B communications
King Sturge: B2C full service marketing communications
Sight Systems: B2B PR
Vision Vauxhall: B2C PR
Winckless Consulting: Full re-brand and collateral design and print
Off Road Action Park: Brand design and digital media
Print House Group: Digital media
Meercat Associates: Product branding and sales collateral design and print
Bennett Dawes Insurance: Broadcast media production
Coplan Estates: Digital media
Organisation Health: Digital media
Carnabys Independant Estate Agents: Full service marketing communications
Base Networks: Brand refresh and B2B product launch
Investwise Group: Brand design
Choose Financial: Brand design, digital media and full service communications
Redseven Leisure: Digital and print design
Phew, that’s enough reflection; we’ve got the future to think of.
