A series of events have been organised for Halloween at the Harvey Centre including a new initiative called 'Safe Trick or Treating'.

In an age where parents are more concerned about their children roaming the streets, it makes sense to utilise the safe and secure environment of a shopping centre for trick or treating. With help fromlocal radio station Ten17, children were guided to ten participating retailers where they were offered handfuls of sweets as a treat.

The initiative was a great success with many children taking part and many compliments from parents.

The day was topped off with a craft workshop where children were encouraged to create spooky costumes with which to scare their parents.

Pre-promoted via free Ten17 presenter reads, radio airtime, press advertising and on-site posters the event also drew publicity from the Harlow Herald, the Harlow Star and This Is Local London.
