We’ve been working closely with Savills, the Centre Manager, tenants and a local photographer to finalise the build of the Saxon Square website. The site is dynamic, has illustrations and content and has been established for Saxon Square to use it as a marketing tool as well as an information tool. There were various stages in the development of the website and content is being added and amended all the time.
The home page has been made more dynamic with the addition of a scrolling flash file of new photography of the Centre in the middle of the page. A scrolling flash animation of tenant logos at the bottom of the page also contributes to the interest on the page while communicating the current tenant mix to would-be shoppers. That the logos are displayed this way also has the advantage of encouraging the visitor to feel there is a greater number and variety of tenants at the Centre, than might otherwise be imagined by static logos or a list of tenant names.
The Store Search has been simplified with the addition of a simple plan of the Centre that incorporates tenant logos on the relevant units. When the user scrolls over the store’s logo they are able to click on it and are taken to that store’s relevant, current information ‘store page’. Each page displays current information on opening times, contact details and a hotlink to the store’s own website.
The leasing opportunities page has been created with an interactive plan of the Centre highlighting the vacant units. Once a user scrolls over the vacant unit, the relevant information for that unit is displayed. Contact details for the lettings agent is displayed constantly on this page.
The refurbishment page has been populated with the latest, edited stories including images. Refurbishment stories have also been included on the News page in the order in which they were ‘news’.
The news page has been populated with all the stories, including the launch of the proposed Centre facelift and journey through the planning process.
A new page ‘How to find us’ has been created with a simple Google map for users to click on for download or directions, plus directions via public transport and relevant hotlinks to transport websites.
Now I’ve got to make sure that it is constantly updated with new events and promotions.
