We’ve done it.
The Drive Time car giveaway has come to its conclusion with a tense and exciting final on Saturday 17th May at the Centre. We had five keen local ladies from Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford vying for the chance to win the car. Also in attendance were staff from Ten-17 who linked to the studio throughout the morning and conducted an interview with the winner; and the Brand Manager, Chevrolet from Motorsales Harlow and local press.
The team from Ten-17 in the Centre and in the studio talked about the draw, encouraging listeners and shoppers to be in the centre at 2pm to see who would be our lucky winner. There was a fantastic crowd and the tension was maintained right to the very end, when the last lady to try her key turned out to be the one with the luck. The runners-up took it with good grace and wished our winning couple luck – especially as it turned out that the winner’s husband’s car had given up the ghost earlier in the week and with baby number 3 on the way, they needed a car that was reliable!
What was especially gratifying about this co-promotion, was the partnership it strengthened with Ten-17 and the new alliance forged with Motorsales Harlow. Indeed Motorsales Harlow has confirmed that they sold thirteen cars as a direct result of having their cars on the mall for five weeks and they have asked to be involved in future marketing activities at the Centre. We are now reviewing options with Ten-17 and Motorsales Harlow.
