QA-Cakes
On Easter Saturday hundreds of Queens Arcade visitors and their families enjoyed a fantastic free cupcake decorating event at the Centre.

The Centre had laid on the event in association with Country Cupcakes and arranged for 300 cupcakes for the public to decorate throughout the day. And the public took to it, in droves!

Would-be cake artists got stuck into icing, sprinkles, jelly beans and sherbet saucers as they set about creating all sorts of Easter and Spring-themed delights.
In addition to the simple joy of creating with sticky icing and sprinkles, our intrepid cupcake artists were also vying to produce the most popular cupcake decoration as voted by their friends on Facebook. Kids, parents and friends all had their cupcakes photographed and posted on the Queens Arcade Facebook fanpage. There their own Facebook friends could find and 'like' their cupcake.

It was eight-year old Caerphilly resident Lucas Rees's friends who decided they liked his cupcake the most, with a lovely, happy smiley face and 18 likes!
